Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
What personal data this website collects, why, who receives it and how you can exercise your rights. Based on the EU GDPR and applied to every visitor.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This website is the personal professional portfolio of Kateryna (Kate) Kulikova, a WordPress developer based in Elche (Alicante), Spain. I am the data controller for the personal data described below.
Contact for any privacy question: kulikovka.kyki@gmail.com.
Because I am established in the European Union, this policy follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”). The same standard applies to every visitor, wherever you are. If you are in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR gives you equivalent rights.
2. What I collect and why
Contact forms
When you write to me through a form on this site, I receive your name, email address, and — if you choose to add them — your company, a link to a job description, the type of opportunity and your message. You also confirm that you have read this policy.
- Purpose: to reply to you and discuss the role or collaboration you are writing about.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in answering professional enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- The form sends your message to my email inbox. It is not stored in the website’s database.
Direct contact
If you contact me by email, LinkedIn, Telegram or WhatsApp, I process the data you share for the same purpose. Those platforms also process it under their own privacy policies.
Analytics
With your consent, I use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and projects people find useful: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived on the site. I do not use it to identify you, and I never use it for advertising.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Until you accept, analytics cookies are not set. Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals (for example, that a page was loaded) to model overall traffic. These signals contain no identifier linked to you.
Server logs
Like any website, the hosting server records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request. This is needed to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept for a short period and are not used to profile visitors.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| pll_language | This website | Remembers the language you chose (necessary) | 1 year |
| kk-theme (local storage) | This website | Remembers light or dark theme (necessary) | Until you clear it |
| kk_consent (local storage) | This website | Remembers your cookie choice (necessary) | Until you clear it |
| _ga, _ga_* | Distinguishes visits for statistics (analytics, only with consent) | Up to 2 years |
You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
4. Who else receives your data
I do not sell your data or share it for marketing. It is only processed by service providers that make the site and my inbox work:
- the hosting provider of this website;
- Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics (with consent) and email (Gmail).
Some of Google’s processing may take place in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. How long I keep it
- Enquiries: up to two years after our last exchange, so I can refer back to our conversation. If we start working together, for as long as the relationship lasts plus the period required by tax and accounting law.
- Analytics: up to 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
- Server logs: a short period set by the hosting provider for security purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask me to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to you in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before.
Send your request to kulikovka.kyki@gmail.com. I will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD); in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); or the authority in the country where you live.
7. Other information
- No automated decisions or profiling with legal effects are made about you.
- This site is intended for professionals. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
- If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
